Yurt kitchen

If you don't feel like cooking, stroll across the fields to your pick of two friendly village pubs, both serving real ales and excellent food, including breakfasts.

We had great fun making the yurt comfortable, beautiful, practical, and a delight to stay in. It's also very eco-friendly, with interesting and effective low-tech solutions to living off grid, including solar lights, fairy lights and phone charging.

Your private loo

Tucked into the little wood behind the yurt is a sophisticated composting toilet, designed and hand-built with an attention to detail and gorgeous views that make it a place worth spending some time in!

Masses of outdoor space to yourself

What our yurt guests are saying  -

"This place will exceed all expectations and more. Its location is stunning and the views from the bed of the stars through the roof and the hills through the door are second to none.

Every little detail has been thought of. You name it, it was covered. Pictures do not do the yurt justice at all. It's spacious yet cosy, sparkling clean and absolutely beautiful inside, as well as being in amazing surroundings. You can light a log fire inside to keep the yurt warm or brave the chill for an outdoor campfire - bring marshmallows! The bed is very cosy and the yurt has everything you need for a super comfortable stay. This is glamping at its absolute finest.

The kitchen shed is equipped with everything needed to cook a plethora of meals and the washing up sink is like nothing I've ever used - that view!

The private compost toilet is a few metres from the yurt in its own little wood and is as clean as a whistle.

Take extra blankets for chilly campfires and torch for a walk to the shared shower, which is also very nice and just a short walk across the camping field.

The sheep in the field next door are the perfect neighbours too! The farm is easy to find and the local pubs offer some delicious food.

Easiest 5 star review I've given."

"We had a fantastic stay at the yurt! The campsite was in a lovely spot with beautiful countryside all around. There were lots of families and couples and even though it was busy it still felt quiet and peaceful.

The yurt is separate from the rest of the campsite and has its own composting toilet and kitchen facilities, which had absolutely everything you could need! We cooked on the burner in the kitchen but mostly in the great little campfire and tripod provided.

The yurt has a double bed and 2 single pull out beds which had proper mattresses and all were very comfortable. The yurt was very clean and has solar electricity for charging USB devices and has some solar lights also. Magnus was able to accommodate my feather allergy by providing a synthetic duvet and pillows.

The showers are shared by the other campers but we never had to queue and they were warm and again clean.

Magnus was a great host and his communication both before and after my booking and in the lead up to our stay was fantastic and always very quick. He gave recommendations and tips for places to eat (including a 10% discount at a local pub!) and he was very friendly and hospitable.

I would highly recommend a stay in the yurt, especially if you are a reluctant camper like me!! The whole family had a super break and we can’t wait to go back."

“We had the most amazing stay! The Yurt was by far the best eco-conscious getaway I’ve ever had. All the little details were perfect - we loved the kitchen cabin and the washing up station! The Yurt really did feel like it’s own little world, and being able to see the lambs in the next field from the door was just lovely. Magnus was a brilliant host! We’ll definitely be back.”
