We are pleased to welcome you to our campsite and will treat everyone who comes equally and with respect irrespective of age, nationality, ethnicity, mental ability, physical restriction, gender, culture, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

There may be some barriers to some people with physical restrictions, in particular for some wheelchair users. Please ask if you would like clarification on the following.

The car parking area is compacted gravel. There is no parking by the pitch but you are welcome to book a pitch just a few meters from your car. On occasion we are able to let you drive to your pitch to drop off your gear but this can only be guaranteed at short notice and quieter times of year. Otherwise we have a fleet of wheelbarrows to help you move your gear.

Getting around the site is mostly level and on mown (but not manicured) grass. There are short compacted gravel paths around the buildings. The camping field itself is unlit. There are dusk-to-dawn and motion sensored lights outside the buildings and motion sensored lights inside.

There is level access into the toilets. Each toilet is in its own room with a hand basin. Doors are mm wide, inward opening with easy to use lever handles.

 

All taps and showers have lever handles.

There is a step into the building which houses the showers, the main washing up area, ice block freezer, phone charging and hairdryer sockets. Inward opening doorways to individual bathrooms are  mm wide with easy to use lever handles. The dry area of the bathroom has mm x mm of clear floor space, a handbasin (mm high) and a seat (mm high, mm wide, mm deep). Entrance to the shower is  mm wide with a mm high threshold. The shower is 1600mm x 850mm, with an inward opening side hung door mm wide. Please ask if you would like a perching stool.

There is level access to a separate laundry area with a loose gravel floor. The door is mm wide. Sinks are quite high at mm. Lever taps.

Electricity

There are sockets inside the shower building for charging small items like phones.

There is also an outdoor socket on the shower building, easily accessed for short term use but not secure.

Please ask about charging mobility or other equipment as this can be arranged under cover nearby.

We have one EHU for campervans. If you need electricity for medical equipment at your tent this can sometimes be arranged. Please ask.

Our glamping accommodation is all off-grid, although you can access the above facilities on the campsite.

If you would like to charge medical equipment or store medicines securely in the house, please ask and we will be happy to oblige. A freezer is available in the shower building for ice packs.
